Heard that last time ps3 lens break down easily. How about now? Is still the same? any batch no. for ps3?

i have a Jap Ps3. i've had it since release date (so first batch) and i have no lens issues whatsoever, although my ps3 did get louder, especially when i play orange box. i hope i answered ur question correctly?!

I got my 60 gig ps3 3 weeks after its release. I have upgraded the harddrive and have never had an issue. I play casually. Sometimes for only 20min and sometimes for 6 hours depending on my mood and weather with nop problems.
