Did a bad flash on my xbox 360 and now I need to restore the orig.bin file. Though the thing is that I lost it so if anyone has a backup for the BenQ firmware file it would be much appreciated!

Is this the first time you've flashed the drive and did you get the key? If you don't have have any firmware saved to get the key from, be it the original or the modified, or just the key by itself, then you're out of luck.
The only thing left is to have someone actually desolder the tsop, extract the firmware with an external programmer, and read the firmware from that.
And that will only work if the firmware isn't corrupted.
What process are you using to flash the Benq?

no offense to anyone here, but you might want to be careful what you are asking for. and offering. the original firmware for these drives are under copyright protection. you could very easily get yourselves and afterdawn in trouble. icould be wrong, but i would be careful with stuff like this.

charmz--- It is possible to recover the deleted files off of your usb drive. How? you can download a software called recover my files. They have a trial version. Install the software and stick your usb drive in. Run the program it will recover your orig.bin. Hope this helps.

whoever it was asking for the orig.bin, i know i sent it to you a while back. prolly a month or two ago. i assume you got it. as far as recovering the key, you will have to attempt to follow the steps in the tutorial and see what you can get from it. if the firmware hasnt been erased from the drive, it should still be possible to extract the key again. just follow the steps. if the drive is bricked, you may try contacting one of the modding services available all over the net. i would ask around to see which ones are reliable. they may be able to help you out with a bricked drive. other then that, the tutorials pretty much cover everything you need to do. if you have a question about a section of the tutorial you are working with, i suggest asking a more specific question about.

I did the same thing as these other guys. I dumped the flashware onto my usb drive, erased the flashware in my xbox 360's dvd rom and retardedly deleted my dumped flashware off of my usb drive (to make a long story short). Anyways, I also need an orig.bin file for the BenQ drive. Could one of you fine possessors of an intact orig.bin file for the BenQ drive please send a copy to notallowed@here.com. Thanks.
