Hi, I have problems with my Toshiba laptop. It suddenly started asking a bootable cd and Exiting with PXE errors. I found that bios settings were not correct and changed the sequence to HDD. After that also everytime i boot my pc same problem comes in. Although the bios settings seem correct but if i change them and go back to hdd settings it works. I am not sure why is this happening. Is this related to battery. I have to change battery for my laptop anyway. please help
take a look at the time & date in the bios to see if correct or not. if way out of date then cmos battery probably needs to be replaced.
It's related to the CMOS battery, not the main battery. It's a small CR2032 battery on the motherboard.
sam, on laptops, they don't or i haven't come across any except for ones i modified to use 2 cr2032 batteries in series. laptop cmos batteries i've seen are rechargeable.
