where and what can i buy to boost range for my laptops wifi?

I have trouble getting on to the internet when i go to places. So i would like something to boost my range.
Two things i have found are:

can any1 give me a suggestion to which of these are better or, what would be even better, suggest something better than these two. I don't have a PCMCIA slot on my laptop so it would need to be a usb thing that also runs on Vista.

The Buffalo extender looks the better of the two options.

does any1 else have an opinion. I would like a few more opinions. Also, i can't find anywhere that sells that buffalo product. I looked on the buffalo website and they apparently don't sell to Canada. Can any1 help me out with this?

im using a windows vista. According to ncix, that thing only works on xp. Thx anyways.

 

Hmm. Trying to find a USB adapter that allows the use of an antenna is hard, even though my housemate has one, I'm not sure where to find one in Canada.

 

im thinking that most of what i want i can probably find on ebay, so far this is true of two out of three of the products. I couldn't find the buffalo one on ebay, which is disappointing because that one is the one i want. Still, i'm up for suggestions for a good product or a suggestion on which of the two products i showed is the best. If any1 knows where i can get the buffalo one off the internet then plz let me know.

Looks fine to me. Plenty of gain and reasonably sized.

Their both around the same price so i wanna make sure i get the better product for my money.

 

Unfortunately that doesn't say what its gain is, so I couldn't say whether it'd be better or not.
