When I Reauthorize a movie (Selecting the movie only) the option "Perform Deep Analyis" is not available?

Does anyone know why?

I did not choose no compression as the movie still needs to be compressed, and the only analysis I did was the basic one DVD Shrink does when you open a disk for the first time (1 to 2 min)?

This option is available if I back up a full dvd, without reauthorizing.

Definition:
Perform deep analysis ... - selecting this options will double the backup time, but will improve quality. You could also have selected this function by pressing the appropriate button on the toolbar, and if you did it before, this option will not be available. This option will also be unavailable if you chose no compression as the backup setting

Using Shrink version 3.1.3, I noticed that the analysis icon was greyed out untill I actually drug a title over into the left window, then it became avalible. Same thing for Version 3.0b5, Untill I drag a title over, the analysis icon is inactive.

If the deep analysis has ever been performed at another time, that information is stored in a log file. When you open the disc and the basic analyzing is not performed, then Shrink already has that information.

You can find the log file with Winexplorer: C:\Documents & settings/All Users/Application Data/DVD Shrink.

I would go ahead and find the log to that particular movie, delete it, and try again.

Thank you for your reply.

I was using the previous version 3.1.2

I just installed the latest version of DVD Shrink (Version 3.1.3 came out Jan 19) and this version has fixed the problem that I was having.

We are now able to force a deep analysis any time prior to encoding.
