Need some help with AVCHD file because it won't play on my PS3 at 25f/s. I need to convert it to 24 or 30 f/s. I have tried using tsmuxergui assuming the audio would be taken care of, but I had synch issues. So now I figure I have to demux the m2ts file, change the frame rate and remux the ac3. Can anybody give me a clue on the programs to grab and a push in the right direction. Thanks

I can play 25 fps material on my PS3 no problem, I live in Canada so my console is NTSC. However the file format is m2ts, not AVCHD. I suggest if you do not need the Blu-Ray structure do away with it and play just the raw m2ts.

If your movie has just the video stream and AC3 (no DTS or subs) you can get away with it. Also with m2ts there is no file size restiction. +4gig files will play fine, with surround sound from the hard drive.

    Hi Odin,
I hope you can give me some confirmations. I have a SONY HD SR12 camcorder in PAL format. I am going to buy a NTSC Playstation 3. Will it play the Mt2S files from the camcorder? I understand from your explanation that I won't be able to read AVCHD DVD created in PAL. Is this right? Are there any other limitations? My objective is to keep the HD MT2S files on the Playstation for Playback and backup. Many thanks for your help in advance.

All I know is I have a movie in m2ts format @25 fps that plays fine on my NTSC console. I'm not 100% sure about compatibility with AVCHD DVDs though as I have never tried this (never had the need).
