I need some help. I have an xbox that shuts down when I press the eject button. I tried a different power/eject button, same deal. The funny thing is I have a second console that does the same thing. I bought them at a yard sale. They both boot up into the dashboard, can change date, settings, etc; no problems. Just when pressing the eject button to insert a game, movie, or cd will cause the xbox console to turn off. Any advise?
looks like you have close to the same problem as this guy http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/653713 It could be a short on the power/eject board but it's probably the mb problem instead. Anyway here's some reading for you.
