how do you update the box?

i got a sagem box. how am i supposed to update it?

 

check if box is a 2x or 1x
ftp to box using ftp client like flashftp/etc
transfer new image to temp folder
on dbox goto service menu and select update image, write one partition, without bootloader
wait for update

 

can i update it with only a Ethernet cable?

 

As far as i know, you`ll also need a crossover cable.

 

an someone give me list of all the wires and stuff i need?

 

All you need is an enthernet RJ45 crossover cable

thx it worked i updated it and put on the nagrarom7 file. do i need to put autoupdate on for nagrarom7 to work? i had turned it off cos it kept changing the keys that i manually entered but i forgot where it is so i don't know how to turn it back on. i'm using sportser image, can someone tell me how to turn it on?
