80g ipod 5th gen. computer switch

    got a 80 gig 5th gen classic and getting new computer. i have about 30 gigs of music presently in library, whats the easiest way to put all that on new pc, and authorze new pc and deauthorize old 1 ( or do i even need to reauthorize being that ill be sharing same internet connection?)

    It all depends on if you bought your music from the iTunes store, or if you RIPed or downloaded the music. If it was all bougt from the itunes store then i cant help since i dont really unerstand the whole authorization process. From what i do know however, all you need to do is copy the music files using an external harddrive to you new computer. from there import them to iTunes. If the music was bought from itune, itunes will ask you to loging or somezthing like that. That is where you enter you account details. HOwever, if the mnusic was obtained without the whole protection system, then all you have to do is simply copy it.

    ONce the music is activatedf and accepted in your itunes all you have to do is plug in you iPod and syncronize.
