ar logo flashes green and does not alow me to transfer game saves

i have spent many many hours trying to sort this out
some one please be my savour ....
i have followed a heap of threads all with the same result

when i plug my memory card into action replay
the logo flashes green and then turns grey unable to transfer game saves

ive tried loading the saves straight off a modded box
but my non moded box does not see the saves loaded
i have everything downloaded done and ready to go
am just stuck with ar not letting me transfer to my game save

afterdawn addict* has helped someone in a old thread but i cannot view then pm that helped this person out



please please some one help im usure what i need to do

To put files on the ar memory card using the software they need to be in rar format..

Try leaving your card in the xbox pad and then rebooting.. when it restarts it should format the card if that's what it needs.

 

i went down and brought a new memory stick *this now makes 3 have tried mp3 player and camera also same result

i made a memory stick witch goes straight into the xbox * not threw the controller
* and also went down and brought a standard xbox memory card game saves do not show in that ither * when select copy in memory option ...

i have followed the online guides over and over again
* my saves are in rar format i can transfer into the middle section *pc and it shows there as linux installer so all good there i think

its just that my self made memory stick *i have changed all the yyy and zzzz ect and updated ect

just when i plug my card in it flashers green then cuts out

*there are no action replay units i can find at local stores

my card is reconised by my xbox as a memory unit and i have pluged into the standard xbox to format prior

i even ftp the game saves into my modded xbox and tried to copy to my memory stick *and also standard xbox 8mb memory card

they didnt show up

this is doing my head in have spent a week straight sitting here
*falling asleep on my chair at times * im sure im not the only 1.......

is it possibly just my memory card .....
the 1st 2 i brought showed up as damaged
the next 2 are reconised by xbox

any one that can help i would almost hug you if i could

*also my mechassult has to be back in 2 days hehe

 

i have just noticed also that when transfering game saves
from my modded xbox into my standard xbox memory card 8mb
they do not show when going to memory game saves
and look in memory device *fatx it sez

altho when i go to file manager *in the modded xbox the game saves show

my thinking was that datelinfo.xbx may have been needed so i ftp the save with the date linfo file in the correct place and retried to save to my memory card *still no good

my *made flash drive xbox memory card does exackly the same thing

so now i no the memory device i made must wrk *altho still does not show up in action replay
all so very very frustrating
is it something about the signature of the modded xbox is not compatable with the memory stick

*i have followed advice above to no avail thanking you very muchly for your input

The ones you have that work are the ones that plug in the pads yea? and your pad is a genuine not a madcatz or something??

FTP the save folders across to your modded xbox.. then transfer them to the memory card using the standard M$ dash.. swap the pad to your other xbox and reverse the procedure.. it should be as simple as that. I did exactly that last week on a crystal 1.6

 

a ha that was my problem i managed to return the modded box to the standard dash and then the saves showed on my made memory stick and standard controller card

heres what happened next *it was 5am when i figured out how to return to the standard dash and save

well i got an mechauto installer threw xbins
and went into my game and pressed linux ect ect
and well it wrked but in fricken german ....
unable to read what to bluddy do

at this point i had ftp access altho this took a wile as i didnt realise the ip was 0.7 as im used to 0.1 or o.3
i thort i mose well ftp a new mechassult sve exsploit....deleting the old save in the prossess ....bad move

when i tried to load my new linux the rings of death and now error 21

i am able to load the game but ive got no wrking saves loaded anymore
so yip im f####d

learning how to hot swap at the mo

and starting to dread saying to my mate that i could *thort i had learnt enought to do it ...... stressfulll so much so ive spent a coupleof 3am 4am 5am 6am bed times trying to get this sorted..

ive copied the hole f and c folders off my modded xbox

so nw im gunna go hot swap *i the morn better make sure im confiden 1st and hope by deleting the f and c folders and replacing them will solve my problem if ar does not reconise your memory card dont bother spending a few days trying to find out y just ftp straight into udata

i never thort i would have the time or patience for this but the futherim digging the more interested im becoming

just wish it was my xbox im killing rather than a friends

hope i havent bitten moe off than i can chew asim a total newbie to xbox modding and computers for that matter hehe

Error21 shouldn't be too fatal. Try the hotswap procedure (lots of guides.. check chunkheads tutorials).. unpulg dvd drive and wait for error12.. the hdd should then be unlocked and ready to swap and work with.

BTW.. my splinter cell exploit is in Flemish.. wow.. not fun.

Don't panic.. it's still fixable quite easily.

i puled my comp open lastnight its an old grandma desktop im gunna use

i figgured i pull the floopy disk drive cord out and thats what i use into my xbox as ison a separate line than the comp hard drive ....s this correct?

im just sending all my modded xbox saved folders to the desktop via my mp3 player a slow process but would have taken a centry burning onto disk ill have that all sorted and be prepared for open heart surgery tonight

just to check i guess i dont have to quix these files b4 sending to the xbox havent heard ya have to do that anywere but i hort i would check as thats what i had to do to my emulators b4 ftping

so when i replace c e and f (am i able to completly back up and remove all contents from un modded xbox duing hot swop ??
i just want to deletethe corrupted files and replace i can do this right?

ok thismorning i got up and xbox not even loading game anymore

its gone from error 21 to error 16 ...... im on my 2nd go at ot swop and now im getting error 7 when booting box

so if error 21 is fixable how about 16 and 7??

tried ur approach at removing the dvd ide end and booting box and i didnt get the error you had mentioned i got error 9

on exsplorer 360 it sez not fatx drive detected
how even in hardware my secondary ude apperars to be fuctioning
i clicked check for changes and same deal sez its working altho doesnt say anything bout xbox just secondary ied or ude or watever is working propley

surley im running out of errors.....
also the white logo does not appear hangs at the x for 26 seconds b4 error ive been pulling ude out at 25 seconds with no joy

having a cuppa and a well deserved stress ciggie break now and ill come back 4 m 3rd attemt wish me luck ...

varnull am i digging a deeper hole for myself....haha

having trouble hot swaping my hard drive

i have xbox error 07
i have replaced the ide or watever called cable and still error 07........

its not looking good for me now is it @#$#$# #$%$
