I successfully made a vcd using my cannon digital camera's movie setting (15 fps, 3 minute max, avi file). I was so excited I had to try my 8mm video camera so I hooked it up to my Asus 3400 graphics card (TNT2 with 16MB of memory) and tried to capture some video. All I got was audio and either a black screen or garbage for the video. Tried every setting and compression routine sonicDVD had to offer (including 15fps) with the same results. Can't wait to upgrade my machine.

ASUS P3V4X motherboard with PIII 800MHz EB, 256MB Ram
WD 20GB harddrive (DMA off) ATA/66
Maxtor 40GB harddrive (DMA on) running at ATA/66
(saved video to this drive)
ASUS 3400 TNT2 graphics
Voyetra Montego II audio card
DVD-ROM
Sony CD-RW
HP 300e DVD+RW
