hello readers for some reason i cant format my mp3 player i need to format it to put music on it i cant even open my device it comes up saying the disk in drive E is not formated do you want to format it i tried formating it but it keeps on saying windows was unable to complete the format please note i did not get any disks or manuls etc for this mp3 player so if you know anything about formatting a mp3 player please comment

plug the mp3 player into your computer via usb

right click the drive letter go properties then click the tools tab and
go down to error-checking and click check now

**KEEP YOUR MP3 PLAYER PLUGGED IN THE WHOLE TIME**

this should restart your computer and fix your mp3 player

thanx for the message but when im on error chrcking what do i do i clicked start for both but nothing happened the box just went away am i doing anything wrong

i restarted my computer but it didn't work are there any other steps that i may have missed oout because after i click start it does not tell me to restart my computer so i restart the computer myself

run the program as an adminstrator and the select the harddrive from the list and click rebuild after thats all donr remember to click save at the top and then it will tell you to restart your computer do that

it wont say the name it will say harddrive _____ and the size of the drive you need to repair

ya i know that but my mp3 is in drive <E:> but in the program it only comes up with <F:> <C:> <G:> and [FREE]
