    are two gigs of ram ddr 400 faster than having three for all around gp.

    I dont understand 3? 3gigs of ram? well of course the 3gb will be quicker unless you use some wierd setting up like running DDR ram 3x1gb sticks...if you ran 2x1gb in one channel then ran 2x512mb in other 2 slots then it would be faster i guess but everyone goes for 4 or 2 sticks.
