I needed an emergency antispyware product until i bought one. so i downloaded "PC Privacy cleaner" which said it was antispyware & that it also cleaned out history and crackers! this was off a random website not sure where! anyway, i have antispyware now and cannot get the PC cleaner off my taskbar! and i do not know how to uninstall it because it does not come up in my uninstall program list. Also when i tried to go to the website to reg the product it just comes up with a form for credit cards! I tried to contact them through there help and support, but it is only for reg users. any help would be fantastic!
You can see if you can ditch it from the taskbar via msconfig. Click on the Start button, then click on Run, and type in msconfig in the text box. Hit enter. When the next screen comes up, click on the Startup tab, and uncheck anything that has to do with PC Cleaner. Click Apply, then OK. Reboot, and put a check in the box in the lower left corner of the annoying pop up box when Windows boots up.
