thinking of going to 64-bit advice needed.

hi i am thinking of going over to windows xp 64bit.but i do not know if it will run the games that i play or is it even suitable for gaming. please can somone tell me if the OS is stable. i know that there is a few advanages of 64bit like seeing all 4gigs of my ram and so on.

i use a lot of havey programs like vmware and things like nero for making dvds would windows xp 64bit make thease programs run any faster.
i know i can get all the 64bit drivers for hardware so i would to see your thoughts in text lol.
