I am completely new to this and have found it to be a complex task but with the afterdawn.com DVD to DivX guide in my hands I thought it would be a cakewalk. However, I have encountered some problems which have left me stuck in the mud. I'll explain.

After starting SmartRipper I got an error about some dll not being the correct version. But who cares, the ripping worked anyway, I guess. The next step was to downmix the audio frequency with DVD2AVI which, I thought, went smoothly. I saved the project and then came the breakdown in the process. I started VFAPIConvert , selected the job and all I got was an error message; The heading stated; Fatal Error with some encrypted sign behind it and in the content it showed "????? c:\ripped\vts_01.d2v ??????". All I could do was push OK. And now I'm stuck.

Could I have done something wrong or overlooked anything in the process or doesn't all of this work on WindowsXP?

Thanks in advanced for any feedback.

Ivo

Dear mr. Da Boss....I found a thread which might be the sollution to my problem, "vfapi convert (reopened)". It makes this thread obsolete unless I come across more problems.
