What iso are you trying to burn to disk?
I download games off of the usenet server, and they usually come with extra files called 'pars'. They are used to check the integrity of the files/iso I would have just downloaded. This enables me to check if there will be any issues prior to burning.
If your 'torrented' the game there is ALWAYS the chance that the file is nuked (accidentally corrupted whilst uploaded). The file may seem okay to burn but your verification process is understanding that something was missing, and it could be because of a corrupted file.
When it comes to backing up Xbox360 games, nowadays those games all have to be 'stealth patched' meaning its the game with extra programming on top of the iso. Sometimes it isn't required and a verification process can inform me i have failed, yet the game could possibly still run.
Since the Wii games sometimes have update files which some folks remove to prevent from accidentally bricking their consoles its possible the verification process is detecting that the game is missing the update files, but could still run in your console.
If it doesn't run in your console you could try downloading again from a different source. If it isn't a torrent file you could try installing a download manager to make sure nothing is lost during a download.
And maybe if imgburn is just being naughty you could try CloneCD which enables you to set the bitsetting of a dvd file so as to make sure it is burned at the proper set incase that is causing error as well.
Good luck.
