So here's the problem, I'm trying to connect my laptop to an hdtv with an hdmi cable. all I get is a blurry image (like when you misconfigure your display settings) I have the tv manual right here and it says the native mode is 1360x780@60hz... that's what I set in my display adapter, I still can't get a clear image. I've tried turing off the tv and on, restarting the laptop and unplugging the cable in different orders. I have an hp pavilion dv9000 with an hdmi output, nvidia geforce go7600 videocard and am using windows xp.

P.S I tried connecting in ubuntu 7.1 and it worked(kinda) albeit with color problems( a greenish tint I can't seem to get rid of, and the colors seem a bit off)

    I'd appreciate any help
    Thanks

I have an hp pavillion (dv 9000 series) with nvidia

maybe quickly try a vga or dvi cable??? you can start to strike things off that maybe wrong e.g if vga/dvi works you know that there MIGHT be something wrong with hdmi at either end....

    just a start.....
