I could not find any comparisons of DVD Fab vs Shrink, or even a review of the new DVDFab 5. They have combined trials for Gold/Pt with the free decrypter versions.

The Customize feature seems to include most of DVD Shrink's functionality. Missing is the Analyze pass. Shrink is 25% faster without the quality enhancement, with it twice as long as Fab.

Anyone done any quality comparisons between the two products? I am typically putting 2hrs onto SL DVD-R with Shrink.

when speaking of transcoders, shrink out put picture quality can't be beaten. recode2 and dvd2one are as good but not better. Now, what fab is going to give you, is all-in one program that the other don't have, fab will bypass the latest protections, it will compress, it will let you choose and leave whatever you want, and it will burn to disc. If i were you, i'd rip to HD with the free fab, compress with shrink and burn with IMGBurn(free).

Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

There's not too much to really compare.

Dvd Shrink is no longer updated. Dvd Fab is more versatile (if you have the pay version; Gold or Platinum) and is constantly being updated. Not to mention the functions differ a bit.

DvdFab Gold/Platinum is an all inclusive package. DvdFab Hd Decrypter is a ripper only. Dvd Shrink's main purpose is as a transcoder even though it can rip.

with a 120 min film you really don't need to use "Deep Analysis" for long movie files consider using DVD Rebuilder instead of dvd shrink

It's a trustworthy method.

Well Amen I agree but I have a question whats a good replacement for the other options offered in DVDFab Platinum I want to move some dvd rips to my psp and have yet to find a good fast easy to customize transcoder I want to keep my files in widescreen and at a modest bitrate so I have good quality but also have small files. I am new to the psp so far I have tried cucusoft, any video converter & psp video 9 while which for the most part video 9 has been the best but I can't seem to get it to keep my aspect ratios of 16x9 any help will be greatly appreciated
