i have a windows vista laptop connected to the internet, and a laptop running windows xp, i was wondering if there was a way to use my wifi on my vista laptop to allow my xp laptop to use the net? all help will be greatly apreciated
Chrism009, You can always hardwire them together with an ethernet cable that will work. But what kind of wifi do you have? Is it a card that plugs into your computer on the side? Or do you have a router setup as an access point? Hardwiring them together may not be convenient as they will have to be close to one another also knowing Vista you will have to coerce her into letting your XP in. You'll have to adjust some setting under Network and Sharing Center and you may also have to make adjustments in your firewall. If the later is the case you can enter the MAC address of XP computer and tell it to allow this connection.
