    Surely the BEST.. I mean the absolute BEST free program you can wave at a fista pc is fdisk.. closely followed by a nice drm/spyware/antitrust/corporate-greed free (as in doesn't have any)free(as in.. doesn't cost a brass farthing for the OS or any of 200,000 applications) linux operating system.

    sorry.. but this topic was begging for that!

    Tinypad requires the download and install of .NET Framework 3.5, a bit strange for a 968kb download of a program. No good to me on this old laptop used purely for surfing (slowly, on a bad mobile broadband connection). Methinks i'll stick with the good ole' notepad that comes with windows (on this machine anyways)

    The .NET framework is shipping with windows updates anyways, and a lot of software require it installed
    All I can say is that you're missing out on a lot ;)

    I don't allow Automatic Updates on any of my machines, but when i'm back home i might try tinypad on the only machine that has .NET framework on it already (i put it on the one laptop to allow MS Activesync to run for updating a PDA/Satnav). I don't use anything else that needs .NET but if tinypad looks worth it i'll chuck .NET on a usb stick for this lappie and consider rolling it out on all my other kit.

    I am looking for a sound mixer. Something that I can that can help me make my own master mix of one of my favorite songs and something that I can add "bleeps" to a video. you know, "bleeps". bleep, over a cussword.
