Will CDLOADER Play PSX games? Please help!

I have a Version 7 PS2 (fat) and a swapmagic flip top.
I can get the CDLoader boot screen to come up, but when I exchange the original ps1 cd with my backup cd-r and hit X it just freezes at this red screen. What's going on?

Any suggestions as to what I can do?

No CDloader won't load PSX games.

You are best to buy Breaker Pro to play PS1 games if you have a lot you want to play.
