I wanted to play a dvd movie on my computer and there is something wrong with the audio of the movie. the picture is fine, though a little slow too.

the audio is slow and sounds like it has an echo and kind of robotic sound. I have had this problem before about two years ago, but I don't remember what I did to fix the problem. I think I may have restored the whole computer, and I don't really want to do that now.

I have tried cleaning the drive with a cleaning CD, uninstalling the dvd drive and reinstalling it, brought up the device manager and made sure that the IDE controlers are set to DMA. Nothing has worked.

I know the dvd drive works to play an audio CD, and I know the DVD works because I tried it on a dvd player hooked up to a tv in the living room. And I have tried running it on all my movie players on my computer and nothing works like it should. my speakers work fine too.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?? My computer is a HP Media Center m7060n with Windows XP

a firmware update might change this issue along with a good laser cleaning....it could also be an issue with your media player, what media player are you using???
