    Hi!

I'm trying to encode some avi. files and burn them to a DVD via DVD Flick. First I used the version built 442, and when it camed around finalize I just got the error message in ImgBurn. "Försök igen" means Try again and "Avbryt" Cancel. None of them solve the problem. Now i have the version built 616 but it still does'nt work when I tried everything again from the beginnng.

So, the windows are here again and i don't know what to do, please help!

This could be a media or a drive problem.
You'll need to post the log file.

OK, so I have to click cancel and trash the DVD (when I did that last time the DVD-player couldn't read it)?

It appears you have a crappy 8X laptop burner that's trying to read 16X media. Try some 8X media and burn at 4X or 6X.

:( I have a brand new laptop, with a crappy burner. How should i solve this? How do I change to burn at 4X or 6X? Should I click on something in the options?

And do you mean that I have to buy new DVD disks then? I've just spend my money to bought this 100 disks, that problably doesn't work...:(

You have an 8X burner that's not properly seeing the 16X media. You need 8X media. Laptop burners are not the greatest. Everytime you open the tray, everything is exposed. 8X media is not hard to find online.

I understand. But, a strange thing is that before this DVD flop, I burned a DVD in DVD Flick with the first eight episodes of the serie. It was on a exactly similar disc (with 16X) and with same options, and that worked fine. No error message appered either.

So, how could it work with the first DVD then?

EDIT: Thease are the DVD's i use:

    Chromeline
    DVD-R 4.7GB 1-16xspeed BLANK bulk 100pcs
    http://se.wesellcd.dk/?page=products&product_id=1101

If you look at the discription it stands 1-16X, as if you can "choose" which speed you would like to write in, between 1 and 16X. Am I right?

Never heard of that brand of media.
I'd have to say you just got lucky.
They're branded as MCC 03RG20 but I don't know if they're genuine or if they're fake.

Get your hands on a few 8X and try. Make sure they're a good brand. TY's, Verbatim or Sony.

OK, one last question. So i 1-16X doesn't mean anything? I mean, can I choose to write in 8X speed in any option?

Most likely your burners firmware doesn't support 16X media. If it did, ImgBurn would display it in it's log.

OK. Thank you so much for the help then. :)

    Go Here:

    http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=screenshots

Find the Screenshot that Says Write,
and on that Shot it Shows, Down on the right hand side, a settings block, where you can change the Write speed of your Blank Disk. I Think The disc must be Inserted first.

Also the Blank Disc ID should be listed in the Big upper info box.

Berryone: I don't think I can choose the Write Speed setting in ImgBurn. I do all the settings in DVD Flick, and just include "burn to disk". Then I let the computer work for some hours. When it has encoded the files it automaticly turn over to ImgBurn and write the DVD. So, I havn't any possibility to do the setting in ImgBurn.

This is what I Do When I use Flick.

I load the files to flick, and after it goes through the process of converting the video. I use the folder where the Tmep Files are saved to (at The Bottom of the Flick Screen tells you where the files are saved to) then I close flick, and open the files in Shrink. Re-author the video then turn it into An ISO. Close Shrink and then Burn with Imgburn. This is where you can change the Write speed. Even with All the Extra Steps This Doesn't Take Hours

I guess What I'm Saying is to use the programs serately

I Hope This Makes Sense to you
