Hi. I have run a search and i cannot find an answer. I'm looking for a modchip for my wii and have problems. What would be my best option of all the chips available.
Also what is the difference between the D2cKey, D2cPro and D2Pro?
Correct Me if i am wrong.
D2cKey - Rip off of WiiKey
D2cPro - Rip off of D2Pro
D2Pro - Good chip
I also need to know which ones you can switch off to go online.
Also which can have their firmware updated easily.
Thanks alot i will update this post with answers when i get them

If you have a D2C Wii (or a D2C v2) then a D2Pro v2 would be my natural choice today.

If i was to go for the D2cPro instead of the D2Pro would i still be able to update the chip via Dvd and does the D2Pro have a turn off/disable function?

Why not try searching?
I'm feeling kind though... No is the answer to the first part.

From what I'm learning, whether you have the option to turn it off on a newer model Wii (D2C), updates can still detect if it has been modded while in off mode and affect your Wii. I wouldn't recommend this option.

Ok i realise now you don't have to turn it off.
I also think that due to me either having a D2B or D2C LeH134... that i'm going with the D2pro
Hows easy is the Wii clip to fit seriously? I've heard mixed responses

Alot of people will tell you the clip is great, I think its a bad way of doing it. Fitting it can be a pain and it seems like there are many more problems with it than hard soldered chips. Obviously if you are fitting it yourself though then it is much simpler than soldering.
I had mine done professionally, that way your guaranteed a good job.
But its down to personal chioce.

Thanks that answers my question. Where did you get yours done. And how much was it. I'm hearing bad reports of the clip not working. :|

btw this guy is a tw@t - that wasn't any help at all - although i imagine you can't read
Not a good way to get help from others calling them names. Can you read or are you just to lazy and unwilling to read past sticky threads and other threads yourself?
He is right in telling you to search. All of these questions are asked and answered on a weekly basis in this forum. You want help well start helping yourself and do the leg work yourself before waisting or time with questions that are asked and answered time and time again.

Again an unhelpful answer. You people just want to boost your thread count saying the unhelpful rubbish.
I did search and found no results that directly helped me. Thankyou to everyone who helped so far

Yeah thats right I am padding my post and user can go from (AfterDawn Addict) to what?
Sorry to say I have no reason to pad my post and ask anyone in this forum how much I help. But why should I or anyone else help if users are unwilling to use past threads to find their answer.
All I said is you wont get much help calling members names and I agreed with the above poster that these questions have been answered. Most if not all are answered in the Ultimate Sticky Thread under the Modchip discussion thread. As well you can find the features of the Modchip if you only took the time to go to the Official Website of the Modchip and read.
Now I will probably get warned or suspended a few days from a Mod since I should have reported this instead of ranting myself but I get tired of new users disrespecting other members just because they don't like the "search for your answer" answer.

I have no interest in post counts - I have no idea how many I've made, for what it's worth I'd rather that the tags didn't appear, it's obvious that some of the addicts are here 24x7!
What interests me (and I'd guess the more regular visitors here) are the new problems/challenges, not "boosting our thread counts" in regurgitating information that's there for all to read - it seems that everyone and his dog comes here spouts off once demanding all the answers to all the questions (and sometimes bumping their posts when nobody answers within an hour) in one place. Here's a suggestion - when you get all your answers write a guide and post it.
I feel honoured that you choose to call me a "tw@t" even if you are scared enough to go back and edit your post to remove it. Thanks Larry for quoting it.
