don't know if this under the correct section so apologies if wrong
I've had a problem with windows so decided to try repairing it however had a problem with disc so fixed it another way but I now have a problem with multiple boot options when I switch the machine on as it now gives me the option to boot to windows home or windows setup ( both xp)
I dont have any partitions as far as I can tell and have no need for the boot options and its becoming a real pain because if i'm not beside the pc when it boots it defaults to the windows setup option and cant find a file so continually just tries to reboot
Is ther any way i can get rid of this multi boot option so it just goes straight into booting up into windows as normal

Try putting the windows xp cd in and when the option to quit displays just do that. Hopefully the boot command will be deleted on next reboot.

control panel/system/advance/startup and recovery/settings/system startup/edit startup options manually

This is where you edit the boot.ini file, just remove the entry to the setup installation option.

Just make sure you make a note of the boot.ini file before you modify it. Just copy and paste it to notepad.
