Connection to ANY p2p program through a firewall

I was hoping someone here could help me out because I'm at a lose of ideas. My University puts up a firewall and blocks the port (I think) commanly used for p2p programs. This was easily bypassed last year by using a proxy provided by www.cyberarmy.com but recentaly they have taken off their list do to undisclosed reasons. I've tried proxy hunters and even checked the proxies I've found using access driver. But for some reason none of them will connect. I've seen some free downloads out there using an HTTP tunnel but the one I've downloaded didn't work. My question is, is there anyone out there who is in my position who has found a way around the firewall and if so how. Anyone is welcome to respond I need any information i can get!!
