Ok, so I am programming my Comcast 3 in 1 remote, and i have:? 1) TV 2) Comcast Cable Box 3) Audio System ( that i use intead of the speakers on the TV) So I have the codes all programmed but every time I hit volume up or volume down on the comcast remote it turns the TV's speakers up and down. I want to know if there is a way to controll the Comcast remote still turn the Audio System on and off and change the volume from the TV's speakers to the sound system's speakers Thanks
Try pressing the AUX button (assuming you have it programed for your audio system) before you raise or lower the volume.
1) I do and nothing happens, should I try reprogramming it? 2) Would there be a way to make this work automatically, so I dont have to hit "AUX" every time I turn all my stuff on? 3) Possibly with some sort of macro? thank you very much
Yes, you can do this, you need to 'lock' what functions you want to control what piece. It doesn't explain it, the instruction only talk about unlocking keys, but not tell the to lock them, I don't have my instructions handy, but I know involves unlocking, then relocking the keys, something to do with the number 993 I think. A little bit of playing should get it for you, if not I will dig out the instrustions for you. *EDIT* Found this Wiki for you, explains things very well. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/How_to_use_a_Motorola_DVR/Programming_the_Remote
