Please some one help me i fuc*d up and ticked the compress disk to save space in a drunken haze and now when i boot my computer it says i am running windows vista ultimate and i dont have a install disk for it can some one please suggest what i can do ??? can i like obtain just any install disk of windows vista ultimate and try and reinstall it or is there something else i can do please please please help me and thank you so much for any help you can give me
Have you tried to press F8 and go to the system menu for windows. go there and choose last known good configuration and seee if that changes things if not then go back to the same menu if u can and then choose safe mode and then u should get into windows in safe mode and the ngo to my computer and decompress the hdd. Let me know how you go??
hey thanks but it doesnt give me the f8 option just says press esc to change boot order or press f1o to enter setup. The laptop is a hp dv8000. If that helps plssssss
The screen wont tell you about F8 you will have to pressit from the first system screen repeatedly till it comes up u have to do it from the bios screen and before the windows startup screen.
nah still cant get it to pop up with safe mode or any of that aye any other ideas? thanks for your help
