I just installed opensuse 11 as a multiboot with windows vista on my laptop a few days ago. Everything works great other than WLAN. My card seems to be detected but cannot be configured due to missing firmware so, its on to madwifi. I'm completely new to Linux distributions so I don't fully grasp how the OS works quite yet. I know there is a lot of tutorials on how to do this but can someone give me dummy proof instructions on installing and configuring madwifi?

If it helps any I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 with Artheros AR5007 PCI express wireless.

I have no other way to connect to the internet with my laptop so setting up net repositories is a no go. I do have a desktop to save/transfer files with a flash device though.

    All help is GREATLY appreciated
