Would someone please tell me how to reinstall the OS after replacing the hard drive?
I have the OS on a USB flash drive. But I get a small folder in the center of the screen which flashes a question mark and then the symbol for Finder.
    HELP.....

The best solution for getting back up and running after a hard drive replacement is to use the restore disc(s) that came with your system. If you don't have them, AppleCare can usually send out replacement sets for a fee. It you have Tiger or Leopard discs, you can usually boot off of them to reinstall the OS as long as it's a retail copy of the OS and is newer then what shipped with the system.
