I am looking for a way to broadcast video/audio from my computer to my tv. I am not sure if it is feasible. Was looking into DVB but I don't think this is it. I may have to run 25 feet of cable to transport my video. I have several options, s-video, vga, and hdmi. Has anyone hear of any way to broadcast your own video/audio???

Not sure why no one responded. Perhaps this was a dumb question. I found in my tigerdirect magazine some wireless pc to tv solutions. Now I just need to find out the type of quality I can expect from one of these. Whether it is worth getting one with hdmi or just basic composite.

Could anyone help me with this. Is it worth getting a wireless PC to TV solution with an HDMI hookup to the tv? I guess I would also need an output for optical or digital audio to go to my receiver. I just canceled my cable to avoid a 75$ a month bill and am very interested in setting this up. Thanks.

This might work for you. I have it setup to stream (wired or wireless) to two rooms in my house. You can stream full iso DVD's up to HD content, with optical out (ac-3). And much more.

Check it out and see if it fits what you are trying to do.

I am a bit confused about their products. What model do you have? It seems like they have jukeboxes and personal recorders, I didn't see any items that transmit video.

I have the M4100 and the newer M6500. A better link would be:
    http://www.tvix.co.kr/Eng/products/HDM6500A.aspx

What it does is play just about anything a computer can play. You hook it up through a network and stream your video/audio to it. The box can play 1080p via HDMI and it has optical audio (ac3) out also.

If I read your first statement correct : "I am looking for a way to broadcast video/audio from my computer to my tv".....this box can do that. (if by broadcast you mean stream video, and you can do it wired, or wireless)

Take a look at the new link. Maybe it will give you a little more info.

    *edit for more info*

you might try to google "tvix". I did a copy/paste of the specs for you. Hope it helps.

Thanks, almost exactly what I am looking for. It should work just fine. Still not sure about the memory it has or whether I must add a hard drive, but I will figure that out. I am disappointed that there does not seem to be a good way to broadcast HD that I know of. I may hook up my external hard drive to my xbox 360 and see how that works for video playback. Thanks for the help!
