Hi, i am from South East Asia. anyone knows if the *view can work for us? I have a *view box cloned am pretty sure about that. I manage to get all the programs scanned and everything ok but just can't seem to decrypt.( a $ sign shown at program list). And message on screen SCRAMBLED OR BAD PROGRAM. Can any one help?? our provide is different from those in europe, so if anyone out there can help me solve this problem.
Don t know any thing about your providers, however if you know the name of them, press menu and instalation you should get a choice of local providers then, choose the one that suites you and then exit back to menu, press 1570 this brings you into another menu make sure emu is on and you should be ok!..if not again press menu.. Instalations... and do an autoscan this weill bring in programmes, wait till 100% then exit right back to your programmes
hi, thanks for the reply! in the 1570 menu, my service provider is not in there. I have managed to key in manually all the info of my provider and did a manual scan,to find out the transponder s/r and all the channels frequency earlier, these took me few weeks. I am wondering if i got to key in the emu keys manually which i had tried a few sets already still no good news. By the way, how to get the keys of my provider??
As i said i am not up to scratch on things in your part of the world, you need a cable provider via a cable not sattelite unless its mmds otherwise it wont pick up paying channels only free to view, Sorry i cant be of much help, but someone else might know if they look at it.
I am very curious about where and how does these 'keys' came from. Can i get it myself over here? With maybe some tools? softwares? I got a feeling that this will help in the problem i am facing.
Did you flash the box? if not tell me what box you have .. press Menu go to the bottom and preess system info, tell me what it says...
Yes i had flash more than a few dozen time, with different firmware. i am currently on API ver: 2.59e_E Bootver: 7.0 29.Jan.2007
The only thing i can suggest is for you to reflash it what do you mean you flashed it dozen of times, did you use this firmware? http://www.4shared.com/account/file/19514974/adfa813d/STARVIEW_259_API__78611_.html if not try it and dont forget to turn your EMU on after flashing for more info try this link: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363 any problems give us a shout and as i said someone might know something...Dont give up LOL
Your provider might be using a different type of decryption so unless you know who they use you might be having the problems until you do as we use nagra here your provider might use secca or one of the other ones
ok so you have the channels but you cannot view them when you turn on the emulator do you get the message code updating or anything like that also you would need to have the correct firmware on your box as well what have you got on it at the present time
I dont know what the solution is so, do any of your friends have the box? if so an you ask them or your supplier how to fix it, have another look later, someone else might help, although if fergus doesnt know very few will, let us know how it goes!
i did not get any message like 'message code updating' after i turn on the emu key, nothing. Just 'scrambled or bad program' Also i just flash to : system info API ver 2.57E_E Bootver: 7.0 16.Aug.2006 Thanks!
ok do this go to menu 1570 and hit set default key and tell me if you get the code being updated on the screen ok
Ok, did wat u told me to: menu>1570>hit set default key> nothing happens. Do i hav to exit after i hit ok on the set default key? Well i did not, still in the CAS SYSTEM.
Infact right after i press ok on the set default keys, there was this very short message: Please wait for saving.
