O K I have some offbrand wireless router, like ehome or something, and forever it worked fine with my dsl modem. Then, it was left unplugged forever and lost its memory. Now whenever I use it, after a while it will stop "local and internet", and go to "local" and I can't get online. Seems to happen when no device is using it. I guess it times out? IDK any help is greatly appreciated.

Firstly log on to the router and ensure the settings match you ISP.

Check and change idle timers, set them to zero.

Next see if there is a firmware update for the router.

Coudn't find idle timers, they go by any other name? Also, should the IP be the same as the DSL modem? No firmware updates either...
