my guess would be no because the zune software checks everything about your operating system allowing xp and vista only sorry about that
itunes may work on 2000 but not compleatly sure

I tryed editing the Zune Installer using the program called Orca. I was able to get the installer to install almost all the way. It gets almost to the end and gets an error saying " Could not write value InstallGeold to key \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Zune\Setup. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. Is there anyway to bypass this?

so far no but there used to be a registry hack that allowed you to use windows media player but other than that if somebody finds a way to do something like that i can assure you microsoft will faze it out within a week so your best bet is to get windows xp soon (microsoft is discontinuing xp within this month) or vista
