Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I have the above mentioned router and my Isp is thru a cable modem.
I have a problem with the signal strength.
It says 1Mbps and very low signal strength.
I'm not sure how to approach this.
Upgrade the router firmware or something ?
It is a wireless draft n router and I have a 2 wire wireless pci card 802.11g. It's drivers are from 2004. Maybe I need a wireless n lan card, but the router literature says that it is compatible with 802.11g.

    Anyone ?

how far away is the router from the pc? how many walls does the signal from router to pc has to go thru? is the computer in between the router & the wireless card antenna?

    Thank You for responding,

    I have a 2 bedroom apt.
In the living room is the router the cable modem and a pc.
The pc there is hard wired to the router.
There is 1 wall between my pc in my bedroom.
there are no electronic items near the router or at least not too close.
There is a long table in the living room.
The pc there is on the left end of the table and monitor and the router is on the right end of the table.
I live in an apartment building but not too densely populated area.
To me if a router can't operate where I'am then it's a useless piece of equipment.
I have the antennas positioned correctly.
The only way to tell if the positioning or the location is the problem is to take all my stuff somewhere else.
    Can't do that though.
    ???????????
