I would like to transfer something that was recorded on a DVR machine to another format. In other words, I need to "take it out" of the DVR. What is the best way to do it? Someone told me to just put it on VHS by plugging the RCAs to a regular VCR. However, I would like to avoid VHS in order to preserve the video quality. So I was thinking... how about plugging a camcorder to the DVR and transfer the stuff to Mini DV? What do you guys recommend? Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!
To make the long story short… Unfortunately I do not own a camcorder, so I was hoping that someone around here could confirm that doing this will work. If this idea with the camcorder does actually work, then I will try to borrow one. But as for now, I don't have easy access to one.
