digivox not working

I have ntl and I downloaded v. 2.8 onto my digivox but when i do a automatic scan no stations come in, i have reset the factory settings, is there something i am missing to do. could someone please help with this. Thanks.

 

have u selected correct provider,and coaxial into cable input

 

yes i have done all that do you have type in codes

 

no 2.8 autoupdates,first of all u scanned for channels did it make a list of channels found,if no channels come up on scan=wrong provider or cable not in cable input [ doublecheck ] if channels found did u switch on emu,? menu-system info-ok1004-key emu to on-exit out.

 

I've tried all that but when i scan for the channels no channels are found. will i reflash the box with different software and where do i find this software. the software i have on it now is digivox_z20070101N2_v2800_2api.bin from the 4shared website is this the correct software

 

yes correct firmware is v.2.8 for silver and black box.
if u have v.2.8 on black box DANGER NOT COMPATIBLE.
make sure u have coaxial from wall to cable input on box and in installation move from telpest to n*l and automatic scan
