Please can anyone HELP!!! I have a starv**w 2 the box and I have connected my box to my pc and downloaded the GTROM Loader software and downloaded the Bin File made sure the both are on com1 and the Baud Rate is 115200 then load the bin file make sure the file type is App File Only but when i press the download button the download bar comes up but stay at 0% and then says Flash Update Failed PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME

Are you using the correct cable/cables and if you are using a USB adapter in conjunction with a null modem cable. Have you loaded the driver?

Yes i am using a usb with null but i did go round my bro and just used the null cable but still had the same prob

Are you sure its a null modem cable and not a standard RS232 straight through cable?

Yes well it is a DB9F to DB9F Null Modem

Both cables are the same size and gender type. Where did you get it and have you used it successfully before?

Have you still got the link? Hard to differentiate between the two visually, but you can do a continuity test with a multimeter to verify pinouts.

Link says its a Null Modem cable so hopefully it is. What versions of GTromloader loader and firmware are you trying to use?

Firmware is for a SV1 and NOT for The Box.

You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine

Count the vents on top


25x7 = Genuine


Also looking from the front

Scart to the right = Genuine

Using a multimeter check the pinout:

2 3 Rx Tx
3 2 Tx Rx
5 5 Signal ground
