Hello all I have a few questions on Vista Compatibility that need to be understood in order for me to choose which OS to install. (XP or Vista)

i want to install Vista because of my SATA 2 HD, but otherwise I heard it was slower. :)
    Thank You for any advice

    Vista Compatibility:

    1. I have a Linksys WMP11v4 802.11B and it worked very well on XP. I read on the web that you don't need any additional drivers to install it, but will the original ones work?

    2. I also have a Memorex DVD Burner that worked perfectly and i didn't have to install any drivers that I know of, will this also work on Vista or do you need drivers for optical drives?

    Networking:

    1. So lets say my question #1 on Vista isn't compatible, I have a regular router that I use for WiFi, its a Linksys WRT54g. I also have a second one (not sure which Linksys it is) that isn't used. I was wondering if it is possibly to connect my Gigabit Lan port to this and use this second router as an access point to reach my main router that is connected the the internet

Thank You again for taking your time to read through this an I will appreciate any and all opinions.

Edit: What are the diffs. between all the Vista OSes?

    Thanks
