DVD Shrink and Nero Burning Problem ... Please Help!

Hey guys, wondering if you can help me out. I have DVD Shrink and Nero software programs loaded on my computer. My problem is, that after I backup a dvd using DVD Shrink and continue on to burning it with Nero, the completed disk will not play in my dvd player. All it says is "this type of disk cannot be played." Does this mean the brand of DVD or does it have to do with the way that I am going through the motions of the software? Any help would be awesome, thanks!
