What causes my internet to go from 1.5 mbps to around 250 kbps when watching movies streamed from netflix? I've tried everything to speed up the connection. I don't know what else to do. Is it because we have 2 PCs and a wireless hooked up to one modem? Also, is the Westell 6100 modem the latest model my Westell

when you are geting movies streamed from netflix,it will use a lot of bandwith so you will have a slow conection, the only thing you can do if you want to surf the net, get a faster conection, that will handel the extra load!

Thanks, RD, that's what I found out after spending hours on the phone with Verizon then Netflix. Apparently, you need at least 2.5 mbps to get a good connection. I told them that was a nasty way to do busy-not putting that on their website. I'm sending their box back to them and getting my $100 refunded!
