I recently upgraded to 4gb of ram running vista 64bit and to my suprise it only picks up 3.25gb of ram.

I've checked my mobo and it says its compatible to run upto 16gb of ram, downloaded and installed an update for my chipset, but still to no avail. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    My mobo is a GA-M57SLI-S4

And I downloaded the update from Here

Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

there is a setting in your bios that you will need to enable to get all 4gb. look for memory mapping. it should be with the chipset options.
