My PSP fades to black

I have custom firmware and an iso file already on my memory stick. When I try to run the game from the memory stick the screen fades to black after the PSP Sony logo thing and after about 1 minute shuts itself off.

What's going on?

The firmware is 3.71 M33-2, I forgot to add that

Update to 3.71M33-4, also make sure your clock speeds are at 333
