ok this is weird but i did a hotswap with the goal of softmodding with pre made. so i went an made copy of partition 3 and 4 (using 360xplorer) and then went to replace 3... well it froze half way threw so i waited an it just wouldnt respond so i did ctr alt del to cancel. when i went back into the hard drive there was no partition 4 even though i didnt even mess with it so i copied my orginal partition 3 in hoping it would be ok sense 4 was not touched so turned off comp put xbox ide back in then turned it off hooked it back up to my tv an tried it .... well it works gose to dash.. cept no hard drive memeory avalible or left or used or anything... i tried xboxHDM 1.9 with no luck get No xbox-partition table found on /dev/hda Drive is not locked but locking is enabled Dont reboot until you have build a working xbx HDD since rebooting will relock the drive. Press any key to abort the operation.... that with option 1... i have no eeprom cause i thought i wouldnt have an issues sense i saved partition 3 and 4 :\ can Some one help me??/ if i can eeven be helped
Wow, it takes maybe 1 min to backup the eeprom and that is the first step of any modding process. Anyway there's always hope, you can build a eeprom reader. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/357863 Just build this eeprom reader and get your eeprom.bin file. Then you can build a xboxhdm cd with a clean C: if you want it unmodded or you can use the cheater C in my signature. It shouldn't be too difficult, let me know if you have any problems.
sorry i am super new to this. can u show me how to back up my eeprom if i am hotswap modding cause i didnt see anything about it all i seen was with sid but how can i do that without using the softmod with the games...i am doing the hotswap pre made partitinons... is there a tutorial for this cause i did search an foung nothing like it .... i went an bought a new xbox
