Okay, civility has gone out the window and its time to rant and rave. Nero 8 is the worst freaking product upgrade I have ever experienced. I have been using Nero for the last 4 years and thought the world of the product, but their free online support is non existent and I have had nothing but problems with Recode 3, which was rewritten and is really version 1.0. In three weeks on two machines, I have "cleaned" and reinstalled Nero 8 three times on each machine, which damn near takes all evening when you download the latest upgrade of 300 megs. Not to mention collecting and uploading the log files to their non existent support. If what you have works, don't upgrade to Nero 8, its not worth your time! Ban me, delete me, I don't care....I've said my peace and I needed the therapy!

I feel your pain, many more here have had the same problem and have returned back to the stabler version of 7.10.1.0 as well. Nero 8 is the Ford Edsel of computer programs, destined to be enshrined in the hall of shame.
Upgrading to the latest version now days seems to be a major mistake because the newer versions really don't accomplish anything more than the previous versions did. If it ain't broke, don't fix it to make a quick buck Nero.
I cannot understand that there are people who uses this piece of verry bad software.
I bought nero 7 two years ago. I upgraded to nero 8 but i cannot use these programs because they simply DONT WORK.
When i want to burn a audio cd i must do that sometimes 5 times to have a good copy, and NO its not my burner , that works 100% with ashampoo but not with NERO ?
