Hey I have this keyboard and was wondering if I could somehow make the Multimedia controls universal - I want to be able to control iTunes when it's not selected without getting out of whatever program i may be in

does anyone know how to do this?

i have the logitech g15 and the software that comes with that controls media player, itunes and lots of other players. maybe install the setpoint software if you haven't already otherwise i'd be searching google for some third party software.

ya, the software I installed for it leaves me at this point - all the other features work fine just the controls aren't universal

meh G15 is too expensive (got this as a gift)
maybe I'll just look into some simple programming (as i'm sure there is values for default media player) and have it run thru the background and say when x key is hit to change x value

I've got lots of programming experience with simple languages (none which would work) but maybe looking into some javascript stuff I can do it

i got my g15 for only 80 bucks from msy. its now 87 at msy but still a good bargain. yeah i think that the logitech g15 program is always running and is able to detect when you press the button so it will change even when you arn't in the media player window which is really handy.

I'm just going to install the g15 program then and c if its compatible (should be - same keyboard just fancier)

The controls for Logitech keyboards only work in itunes if the application is selected, either by highlighting it on the screen, or having it up on your little LCD on the G15. I don't think the G11 has the display, so you'll probably have to have itunes selected to use play/pause, next track etc.
