    Hi,

I have been authoring for some time now without issue; however, I have a problem.

I recently have been trying to author a tv series, and when finished burning it wont playback on my dvd player or my xbox360 or its hdvd player. It plays on my computer, but wopty freeking do.

I converted the files using convertx2dvd ( made sure it was set for U.S. encoding) then put them in dvdlab, then burned them using dvd shrink.

    How do I fix this?

Playback issues are normally resolved by a combination of using top quality blank media. Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Sony. And if you're using the +R format...be sure to booktype to DVD-ROM.

Make sure you're not burning too fast. As a general rule, half the rated speed of the disc is safe and delivers good quality.

And make sure you don't use paper labels!

Something i missed in my initial response was this:

Dvd Shrink doesn't burn, so what program are you burning with?

How many episodes are on the copies that won't play?

Only for a little bit...but i'll be back in a couple of hours. Post it...some of the other Sr's or Addicts will see it. Either way someone should be able to figure it out, or i'll be back on later.

These ain't Verbies Gdizzle. I think those are Memorex DvdRw...i may be mistaken, someone correct me if i am.

Get some good media. That's probably why some wouldn't work and your most recent burn does.

You also burned at 4x in the Nero scan, which could contribute to a better burn from a crappy blank disc.

The first 4 attempts were on verbs, but you were right about the last 1, it was a dvdrw memorex, figured Id do a test drive before wasting more good media.
