Ive bought a 9pin s-video splitter so I can connect my p.c tv-out to my HD l.c.d television using a 4pin s-video or rca style cable. Both allow connection to my pc but the only thing that comes up on the tv screen is my desktop wallpaper, no icons, no mouse and no windows or videos? What do i need to do to make the tv show the same as my monitor?? I have windows xp but i dont have the disc. My t.v has a vga input but i dont have a long enough cable. Please help.
on your computer monitor, put your mouse on your desktop (wallpaper), right click>properties and set up your desktop to your TV. I have no idea what drivers you are using, but most set up in dual or clone mode. Most people use windows on one display, and watch movies on the other.
yes i have right clicked on desktop-properties and the t.v is indentified and i have tried altering resolution but the t.v still only displays my wallpaper and nothing else??
Oh yeah, the t.v is in another room so I didnt think or know to drag the mouse across from one screen to another. Thanks
