I want to install XBC 2.7. I've tried using wine to install it. It would not let me. Any suggestions on how to install it.I'm using Ubuntu 8.04.

Xbox connect? I don't think that'll work in Linux, you need Windows for that (sort of) software. Typically you can not use Wine for applications performing "low level" tasks, many network applications do not work in Wine (think packet sniffers etc.. not P2P apps).
